The SR 0080 Section A18 Local Access Interchange project involved the construction of a local access interchange, including a connector road linking SR 0080 with existing SR 0026 (Jacksonville Road). Operations included reconstructing 2.8 miles of SR 0080 eastbound and westbound, reconstructing three quarters of a mile of SR 0026, and a half mile of new construction along SR 6126 connecting SR 0080 and Jacksonville Road.
This project also included the construction of a new four span continuous composite bridge spanning both lanes of SR 0080; construction of access ramps and roadway using base, binder, and wearing courses; drainage improvements involving pipes and inlets; pavement markings; signing; storm water management ponds; ITS and miscellaneous construction.
RIG Consulting Inc. worked as a subconsultant providing Construction Inspection services. RIG's Transportation Construction Inspector –2 was responsible for the inspection and documentation of excavation, embankment construction, installation and maintenance of E&S control systems, construction of a boat launch parking lot, installation of sheet piling, reinforcement bar installation, formwork, and concrete testing and placement for footers, pier columns, and pier caps.
